• Gulf Glass (25-27 September 2017 at Dubai World Trade Centre) will play host to a number of key industry experts/players.
  • Over 140 participating brands will showcase glass production machinery, tools, glass processing, finishing solutions and products.

The demand for innovative and green solutions for the built landscape is surging in the region and glass, a sustainable and fully recyclable material, is fast becoming the perfect solution to today’s environment based challenges. In the lead up to Expo 2020 and Dubai Smart City Vision 2021, Gulf Glass 2017 brings this optimum material to the forefront of trading.

Reinforcing that the trade fair takes place only once every two years, Event Director of Gulf Glass 2017, Muhammed Kazi, encourages professionals to grasp this “unmissable opportunity to visit the one stop shop for all things glass in Dubai.” He insists that “visitors will leave equipped to take full advantage of the growing business opportunities driven by the expansion of glass applications in the Middle East.”

The largest flat & container glass event in the GCC will pull together over 140 of the industry’s leading glass manufacturers and solution providers from around the world. Exhibitors such as C3 Systems S.L., LandGlass, HORN Glass Industries AG, Tec-Pro Group, HIET, IOCCO and many more will showcase finished products, glass production machinery, tools, and glass processing / finishing solutions.

Spanish based C3 Systems S.L. will present frameless glazing systems which pair modern design with efficient protection, ensuring that the building’s aesthetic is never disrupted. A sliding and turning glazing system, the prominent Seeglass Max, features specially designed rubber injected caps which seal the interior perfectly from wind, rain and other adverse weather conditions.

Another key supplier of finished glass products, LandGlass Technology Co., Ltd. will launch for the first time in the UAE, a tempered vacuum glass that can boast to beat the thermal insulation of a 1 meter thick brick wall. “Breaking the myth that vacuum insulated glass can’t be tempered”, Sales manager Joe reveals that Landglass will also present glass manufacturing machinery at the event.

German HORN Glass Industries AG will bring 130 years’ experience to Gulf Glass 2017 along with glass production machinery such as furnaces and forehearths for the production of multiple finished glass products. Yvonne Walker, head of PR at HORN reveals that more than “20,000 tonnes of glass per day are currently produced with furnaces made by HORN” signifying their reliable performance.

The launch of the Tec-Pro Spacer will be one of many consumable materials and tools for the glass sector to be showcased at the event. Business Development Director of Tec-Pro Group Dr. Meriem Lakhdara reveals there will also be a cutting table live demonstration at Gulf Glass, the “meeting point for the industry from the heart of the GCC, the United Arab Emirates”

Providers of glass processing and finishing solutions will also be present at Gulf Glass 2017. Marcel Dagher, General Manager of key exhibitor HIET endorses it as “the perfect place to access influencers, meet new flat and container glass manufacturers, processors, fabricators, contractors and engineers, as well as develop a more powerful and engaging experience with HIET’s valued clients.”

Another key solutions provider, Italy based IOCCO, will present a specific focus on the flat glass industry. Promoting the “most efficient solutions for both costs and performances from the simplest machinery to the most complex production”, IOCCO will target the home appliance and PV market, responding to upcoming government policies backing the Smart City Dubai 2021 vision.

In 2015, the event welcomed 4,381 visitors bringing together 127 exhibiting brands from 20 countries. About Gulf Glass

The upcoming edition of Gulf Glass will take place in 2021.

Gulf Glass is the largest Flat & Container Glass event in the Middle East.

The trade fair is an unmissable one stop shop for all things glass: it hosts 170+ suppliers of finished products, glass production technology and machinery, glass processing & finishing solutions, measurement, testing & control technology, tools, replacements and spare parts, as well as auxiliary equipment and fitting.

Beyond discovering the latest glass solutions and technologies for the Middle East market, visitors can gain competitive advantage and a wealth of knowledge by attending the wide CPD-certified educational sessions offered for free at the event. These focus on challenges in selecting the right glass solutions, managing the aesthetic of glass architecture, latest trends in the use of BIPV glass, energy saving solutions for the glass industry, and advances in smart glass and smart tinting technologies.

Gulf Glass 2019 hosted the first GlassSMASH Challenge powered by Vetrotech Saint-Gobain. Here, visitors competed with other teams to test the strength of the VETROGARD, an attack-resistant high-security glass, by attempting to break through it.

Organised every two years by dmg events, Gulf Glass is co-located with the Windows, Doors and Facades Event, bringing even more decision makers from the glass community together under one roof.
